Blizzard has announced that the Overwatch beta will kick off on Tuesday, October 27th and that interested players can get signed up for possible inclusion beginning today. Devs will be looking for feedback about balance, fun and the overall feel of the game. In addition, the goal is to "hammer the heck out of our tech" by stress-testing servers and more.
There will be two different groups participating in beta testing: Closed Beta testers, a small group of players who will have the ability to play regularly that will participate directly with devs discussing heroes, balance, maps, etc. Other players can take part during beta weekends for giving the infrastructure a run for its money.
