Where's Our Review?

No Man's Sky is out today on the Playstation 4, and on August 12th for PC. We do not have a copy yet, and well... that's why.

As some of you probably noticed this past week or two, the creator of No Man's Sky, Hello Games' Sean Murray, has been doing a bit of expectation and damage control in light of leaked footage and impressions. There's a massive day one patch and progress wipe on the game today, though and many excited players and journalists are finally reviewing the game.

We are not, yet.

We did not receive a copy from Hello Games, and it's very likely because NMS is even less of a Multiplayer experience than some believed. We always knew it would be hard to stumble across other players in the always online procedurally generated galaxy, but many (ourselves included) expected to be able to meet up with friends.

That doesn't seem to be the case in the launch version of No Man's Sky, and we think Hello Games is trying to avoid any Multiplayer-focused reviews and coverage for that reason. Obviously, our site tends to fall into that category, even with some of the CRPGs we cover.

Ergo, we'll be reviewing the game, but not until we can get our hands on a Steam copy this week, and after we've had time to play. For now, let us know how you're getting on with the game, if you've picked up the PS4 edition.
