Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn: Review
Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is a game living its second life, a rarity in an ever-increasingly crowded market. It's rare to get another chance at magic. In our latest review, we take a look at FFXIV: ARR to see how this iteration pans out.

I am willing to admit I was wrong. I did not think that Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn would be as successful as it has become. Producer/Director Naoki Yoshida was not the only one to undergauge fan interest in Square Enix's reimagined title. I assumed that most of the original XIV players would check the game out (it was free for them afterall) but all of the unique new users is staggering. The reason why the game has been so successful though at this point really is not a secret. The game is great. It also helps that every other big name MMO due out in the second half of 2013 pushed into 2014.

WildStar: Carbine's Combat Makes You Act and React
The WildStar team is ready to reveal new information about the game. One of the most important topics to most players is how combat will play out. The team has put together a new DevSpeak video to discuss combat and we have an analysis of what is revealed.

WildStar is one of those upcoming MMOs slowly pulling back the layers (like an onion, right?) on their design and overall goals as the game marches ever nearer to its 2014 release. With the release of today's latest DevSpeak, developer Carbine Studios gives us even more information on the game's most essential component: combat. We've talked about movement, about telegraphs, and we have a pretty good feel for the basics. But how about how you'll actually pull off a class' abilities? WildStar's action won't be just pressing a hotbar and watching your character's animations. Instead, the team has opted for a much more active interface that involves several different types of abilities, each requiring different degrees of interaction and input from the player. Watch the Abilities DevSpeak video below, and read up on how you'll be playing WildStar more actively than most other MMOs
