Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn: Review-in-Progress Part Three
Now that Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn has "matured" to nearly three weeks since release, we have more thoughts to offer about the game play and more on our way to our final review.

The armory system ties hand in hand with the class and job system in A Realm Reborn. In any MMO inventory management can become a burden especially for a class that can fill multiple roles. Now imagine the frustration for players trying to carry around gear sets for their disciple of land, disciple of hand, disciple of magic, and disciple of war gear and then toss in a set for fishing to boot. All told that can turn into a mountain of gear that very few people, if anyone, could realistically manage. That is where the armory system comes in.

You can read part three here.

Lord of the Rings Online: Helms Deep Preview
Turbine is continuing the player journey into Middle-earth with the Lord of the Rings Online expansion "Helm's Deep". We recently had the opportunity to find out more about the expansion and offer this exclusive preview.

For lore aficionados, this expansion more than any of the others meshes most closely with the storyline from the books, as well as fleshing out things only mentioned in passing by Tolkien. (e.g. an area in the west of Rohan where the peoples of that land and of Dunlendings mix more freely, and allegiances are less clear cut.) It also adds in some things that were left out of the Peter Jackson movies, for example, Helm's Dike.

Game of the Week
WildStar is an upcoming sci-fi MMORPG with a stylized cartoon-ish look currently in development by NCSoft's Southen California-based Carbine Studios. Play will be set on the newly discovered planet of Nexus, once home to the technologically advanced race called the Eldan. Long ago, they mysteriously vanished.

Now that the planet has been rediscovered, Explorers, Soldiers, Scientists, and Settlers are coming here from across the galaxy in search of adventure, fortune, and possibly the dark secrets of the Eldan. Stay tuned for more information!
