According to a confirmed report at, Lord of the Rings Online developer, Turbine, has been hit with a round of layoffs as part of restructuring by Warner Bros. Interactive. The exact number of employees affected remains unknown.

Double Fine's original Costume Quest was a surprise turn-based RPG hit in 2010. The sequel, appropriately named Costume Quest 2, offers the diehard cult following of the original more of the saccharine RPG hilarity they've been craving. With upgraded visuals, some new tweaks to combat and a fresh time-traveling storyline, is CQ2 enough to enthrall fans for a second go round?

In anticipation of the forthcoming World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor expansion, subscriptions are up over 600,000 and places WoW subscriber population at 7.5M. This significant jump nearly erases the 800,000 subscriber loss experienced by WoW in the quarter ending at the end of June 2014.

It's no secret that most MMO quests are incredibly boring. If it weren't for the engaging gameplay, multiplayer camaraderie, or epic scenarios that players find themselves, chances are this genre wouldn't exist any longer. If you compare the questing found in most recent MMO releases to that of early pioneers, the types of quests are almost identical.

Heroes of the Storm is an online team brawler starring your favorite Blizzard characters. Though Blizzard doesn't call HotS a "MOBA", that's definitely the sort of gameplay it mimics. You'll build and customize heroes from across every Blizzard universe to suit your play style and then team up with your friends and engage in fast-paced matches across varied battlegrounds that impact strategy and change the way you play the game. There are going to be towers and lanes and meta, but from what we know so far it's going to be far more diverse than what we've come to expect from the genre DotA and League of Legends built.
