The Imperial City DLC for Elder Scrolls Online will be arriving later this summer, but during today's QuakeCon, it was announced that three more DLC packages will be arriving, one each quarter. The DLC will be: Orsinium, a DLC regarding the Thieves' Guild and a DLC based around the Dark Brotherhood.

In an unexpected move, is reporting that John Smedley has resigned as the CEO and president of Daybreak Game Company, formerly Sony Online Entertainment. Current COO Russell Shanks will temporarily step into Smedley's place until a replacement is found.

When I think about the vision behind Pathfinder Online, it's hard for me not to get excited. As a fan of Iceland's greatest export, EVE Online, I have spent the last few years pining for an MMORPG that takes the sandbox structure of EVE and transports it to a more familiar fantasy universe, and what better universe than Paizo Publishing's wonderful pen and paper RPG, Pathfinder? On paper, Pathfinder Online seems like a sandbox fan's dream come true: ambitious and nonlinear; a total deconstruction of the tired tropes that have come to plague the genre since World of Warcraft paved the way for countless others to follow. But in practice, Pathfinder Online struggles to bring to life much of what it aspires to achieve--for now.

Our friends at Ten Ton Hammer have scored an exclusive confirmation of the elite Guild Wars 2 Elementalist profession called the Tempest. More will be revealed during this week's live stream when ArenaNet shows the Tempest in action as well. Tempests will wield a warhorn to both get hold of the elements to damage enemies and support allies.

I was in attendance at QuakeCon in 2011 when Skyrim got its first major showing. I'm not the type to give in to hype, but I still remember being in awe of the majesty and grandeur of it all, and leaving the auditorium as excited as I could be for an upcoming game.
