World of Tanks Review: A Different Kind of Tanking
In the Official Review, our own Adam Tingle takes a look at the tank simulation MMO that's taking the world by storm and divulges whether you should even bother with the download. The short answer? Yes. Read on!

World of Tanks is a very good online shooting game. The concept is refreshing, the approach is unique, and in many ways the title is groundbreaking in regards to its hybrid systems. While it may be a little too boring for some and for others tank warfare may not fully appeal, but to anyone else with half an interest, I can whole heartedly recommend this title. It's not yet something I'd recommend to anyone looking for a full-on MMORPG experience, but as a massive competitive shooter, it's fantastic. Above average in everything, and outstanding in most areas: check it out.

Bill Murphy: Should We Add Diablo 3?
The title pretty much says it all and Managing Editor Bill Murphy really wants your input. Head through the jump to participate in the poll on whether or not we should add Diablo 3!

It's no secret that we've been broadening the scope of this site in recent years to include games which may not be traditional MMORPGs, but fall into the broader and broader scope of "MMO". The reason we've added games like League of Legends and Guild Wars or Global Agenda is pretty simple: they have facets which are comparable to an MMORPG, even if the sum of the game is more of an MMO-Lite experience. We cover a broader scope these days because the industry and readers demand it, and that's really all there is to it.

But when do we cross that line? We almost have to judge each game on an individual basis and decide which is right for adding to the list based on the combination of features and fan desire. That's why I'm writing this today. Diablo 3 is going to be big. It's going to be online. It's not going to be massively so, but it's going to have persistent elements tons of co-op options, and even an auction house. Does it deserve a spot on this list as much as Guild Wars or Global Agenda, or without a shared "hub" is it missing one vital part?

Game of the Week

FireFall is an upcoming free-to-play post-apocalyptic MMO FPS developed by Red 5 Studios. Set 200 years in the future, Earth has been destroyed by an energy storm called 'The Melding,' which occurred as a result of the overuse of Crystite, a source of energy discovered by humans that ended up replacing all forms of energy on Earth.

'The Melding' destroyed much of Earth and mutated the Earth's terrain and lifeforms. The only habitable place left is, oddly enough, within the eye of the storm, where what's left of humanity attempt to survive.

Players in FireFall take on the role as one of these surviving humans and are tasked with ridding Earth of the 'The Melding,' while also battling back the 'Chosen,' a new race spawned of the storm itself.

Gameplay involves first person or third person combat in an open-world environment, and includes RPG mechanics such as loot, leveling up, and other forms of progression. Four classes, the Engineer, Assault, Recon, and Medic, have been announced so far.

FireFall is currently in beta testing, with the program set to expand significantly following this year's PAX Prime. The official release date is set for December, 2011.
