Blacklight: Retribution: Review
Blacklight: Tango Down was a huge hit for fans of first person shooters. When Blacklight Retribution was announced as a free to play online MMOFPS, our ears pricked up. See how it fares in our latest review.

Blacklight: Retribution isn't your average online shooter. There are lots of people out there who would cringe at the thought of playing a free-to-play online shooter. I'm not ashamed to admit that I'm one of them too. The flood of substandard, badly named and outdated-looking F2P shooting games over the last few years haven't exactly done a good job of putting them in a good light. More often than not, it's always the same basic formula that Counterstrike created over 10 years ago, plus a few aesthetic tweaks here and there (sometimes with top-heavy and scantily clad female characters) and a cash shop to give wealthy players a way to pay-to-win.

SMITE: PAX East Preview
During PAX East this year, we managed to catch up with the folks behind SMITE and an opportunity to get our hands on the game. Check out our first-hand report and then let us know what you think in the comments.

After playing a match on the convention floor, I was definitely impressed with what I had seen. The combat was very engaging, the graphics looked great, the shop was easy to sort, and the map was still that very familiar DotA map that a lot of MOBA players have come to love.

Game of the Week
Neverwinter is an upcoming free-to-play MMO from the combined team of Wizards of the Coast, Hasbro, Cryptic Studios, and Perfect World. It will put players into the heart of Neverwinter, one of the most infamous cities in Dungeons & Dragons lore. Set 100 years after the Spellplague, and after the volcanic eruption that destroyed the city, Neverwinter is slowly restoring its former glory. But in the deep, dark places in and under the city, evil forces are seeking ways to keep Neverwinter from that goal, by any and all means possible. Players will need to once again answer the call for heroes to help save the city!

We had a chance to check out Neverwinter during this year's PAX East and ended up giving it our Best of Show award!
