RuneScape: The Re-Review's Adam Tingle has been spending some quality time with Runescape and has some new insights into the game in the official re-review.

RuneScape genuinely surprised me with its game play and what it had to offer. Where my pre-existing notions lent to an attitude that it was somehow beneath the genre because of its browser-based platform, I can hold my hands up and say I was wrong. Jagex Studios have easily created something that stands up head and shoulders above most "free-to-play" games and even triple A titles.

For anyone looking for that "old-school" experience but with also tons of progression, refinement, and unique ideas, RuneScape is easily recommendable. And while many will not be able to get past the graphics or the heavy-grind based nature of the game, it is none the less a solid and gem of the genre - and the best thing is, a lot of it comes for free, so why not check it out?

The Secret World: The Revenant Revealed and Funcom have partnered to bring our readers and exclusive look at one of the creatures from The Secret World. Today we feature a look at The Revenant complete with lore behind the creature and exclusive screens.

Drawn to areas where a disaster - natural or manmade - is imminent, Revenants have been instrumental in spreading pest and plague throughout history; from the bubonic plague and smallpox in Europe, to flu and typhus pandemics across Asia. In 1905, they arrived in the United States, carried across the ocean aboard freighter ships, hiding as rats and crows in the cargo. They have recently been spotted on an island off the coast of Maine, where, it is rumoured, a great evil stirs.

The Revenant is one of the most terrifying creatures of the secret world. Not easily defeated, they are known to reform from the smallest fragments, and their poisoned blood and dark minds infect everything around them with their eldritch disease.

This week's Game of the Week is Bioware's upcoming MMORPG, Star Wars: The Old Republic, and why not? After all, the upcoming Star Wars MMO (the second, historically), is one of the most talked about upcoming games not only within the MMO genre, but in all of gaming.

With Bioware's reputation as a first class developer of single player RPGs, many video gamers find themselves wondering how the company will handle the challenge presented in the realm of multiplayer games.

With more and more information being leaked out about this game all the time, the opinions are coming in from all sides with players weighing in. Some would like to see the game more closely resemble the sandbox style of the original Star Wars Galaxies while others are looking forward to a near perfect continuation of Bioware's success with their previous Knights of the Old Republic title.

As information leans us more toward the latter than the former, it will be interesting to see what players think as this game comes closer and closer to launch.
