Since the launch of Zenith: Infinite Realms, Ramen VR has been refreshing content, fixing issues, and getting things fully settled in Season 1. Now, it’s almost time for Season 2: Frostrealm, and the team is sharing some initial details and a release window.
Frostrealm will add a new biome, new cosmetics, a brand new boss, and “a new element for gesture magic”. This will come with some more improvements and bug fixes. More details are to come, but in the announcement of the new season, the Zenith team breaks down what a new season means for the new F2P session-based co-op adventure game.
When it comes to a new Infinite Realms season, we can expect a complete wipe of character levels and skill trees. Skill points will be reset, and all gear acquired will convert into Dust automatically. Every character will keep all acquired Zen, Dust, and any regular acquired cosmetic items. If you unlocked any “Unique” quality gear, you’ll get to keep that, but in a new way. Those pieces will be turned into special cosmetics you can keep.
As every character is reset and there's a general wipe, you'll start again in Season 2 with the default starter gear. Ramen VR seems to be working on some ways to offer a sense of continued progress and recognition though. There will be something called “Season Level Prestige” for all characters of any level when a new season starts. All characters that reach level 10 or higher in a season will get a special “Season Rank”. There are no details yet on what these ranks and perks might mean, but they promise in the announcement that we’ll get more soon.
As for when Season 2: Frostrealm will be ready to launch, they’re aiming for a window of March 28-April 3rd, with a date announcement to come.
