Remember that Cyberpunk 2077 save file issue where your saves would be corrupted if they were larger than 8 MB? Well, a new hotfix has (hopefully) addressed that.

Hotfix 1.06 is available now on PC and consoles and touches on quests, some console-specific items, and the PC save issue. The full notes aren’t terribly long, but here they are:

    • Dum Dum will no longer go missing from Totentanz entrance during Second Conflict.

    • Improved memory management and stability, resulting in fewer crashes.

    • Removed the 8 MB save file size limit. Note: this won’t fix save files corrupted before the update.

If you missed it somehow, the saga of Cyberpunk 2077 is not good with the game outright broken on last gen consoles. Microsoft and Sony have both issued refunds with Sony actually pulling the game from their store.

In fact, CDPR developers took to questioning their leadership in an internal call, according to Bloomberg, asking why the leadership effectively called the game complete and playable when it clearly wasn’t. Our review in progress is live, and be sure to check out our deep dive looking at the ray tracing in the game.
