If you’ve been curious about Elder Scrolls Online but have been hesitant to buy the game, you have the chance to play it for free during QuakeCon at Home.

The game is free to play – no purchase necessary – until August 19 at 10a EDT for Xbox/PC/Mac, and until August 20 at 10a EDT for PS4. All you have to do to get started is visit the Free Play page and select your platform of choice.

During the event, you’ll have access to the base game which includes the original classes, in addition to 24 zones (yes, including Morrowind), and the main story. Additionally, if you’re a new player, you’ll receive 500 Crowns to use in the game’s Crown Store (the game’s shop). You’ll also have access to the Greymoor Prologue quest since it’s part of the base game.

Speaking of Greymoor, it will be 35% off during QuakeCon. This applies to the Standard, Upgrade, and Collector’s Editions of the chapter. Finally, the Standard Edition of the base game will be up to 50% off during this time as well. Be sure to check here for official sale times. In recent news, it was announced that ESO is heading to the PS5 and Xbox Series X as a free upgrade.
