The latest This Week at Bungie letter has been published to bring Destiny 2 players up to speed about the latest happenings. Most notably, Bungie will be revealing Year 2 content and features on Tuesday, June 5th during a special live stream event starting at 9:00 am Pacific / 12:00 pm Eastern.

According to the letter, viewers will be treated to "some big ideas for how [developers] are going to transform Guardian lifestyle". Several of the developers will be on hand including Game Director Steve Cotton and Project Lead Scott Taylor. Each will be responding "to a bunch of community feedback and unveil some other things you haven't even been looking forward to....yet".

In addition to the Year 2 content reveal, the letter lets players know that Faction Rally events will be returning next week with a new rank system that will span the entire season. Players will earn Renown by completing a series of events like patrols or engaging in other public events. Of course, and maybe most importantly, rewards will be better and more attuned to each faction.

Crucible Labs is now available and the first game mode has been added called Showdown, a 4v4 fight. Showdown features a best of 5 rounds ruleset and challenges teams of two to take out the opposition as many times as possible during the round / match. If the match is tied 2-2, the last round is a fight to the last player standing.

Lastly, Escalation Protocol has had its difficulty tunes.

Jacob/Ben: The moment this weekly update goes live, the Power levels for Escalation Protocol enemies will be lowered in waves 4–7. Waves 1–3 are unchanged and will remain at 370 Power (so still watch out for that level 2 Wizard boss).
