Wuthering Waves, the free-to-play gacha open world action RPG by Kuro Games, has had a bit of a rough launch and the studio has outlined plans to address the game’s issues.
The game’s launch on both mobile and PC has been marred by numerous performance issues and bugs. Kuro Games for its part published a blog detailing what it sees as issues with the game, offered the community an apology for the frustration, and laid out plans for what comes next.
"Wuthering Wave's official global launch, we have been disheartened by our inability to provide a high-quality gaming experience to all Rovers. We understand that continuously releasing better versions and content is our goal and mission, and we will always strive to uphold them."
One of the major issues identified by the community is the game’s grind and a lack of a storage system for Waveplates. Kuro Games will be offering a limited time Echo material double yield event titled Chord Cleansing. Later, in update 1.1 Kuro will reduce the Shell Credit costs of Echo progression, rid of the Tacet Field reward cutscenes, and buff the yield of Echoes and Echo materials. Further down the road, the studio plans to introduce a Waveplates storage system in response to player feedback.
