The open-world title Wuthering Waves has launched, but a few initial bugs prevented players from signing in.
Wuthering Waves went live on May 22nd and 23rd depending on where you live, and the new open-world title is being compared to Genshin Impact, but the developers intend to focus on combat compared to the other adventure RPG titles it is compared to.
There are quite a few bonuses that came alongside the release for those who log in for five consecutive days and more, including in-game currency and 5-star weapons. There are also several events to take part in, like the Depths of Illusive Realm which yields several rewards for uncovering the secrets that lie beyond the gate, and the Second Coming of Solaris event which brings daily deliveries that can be completed for extra rewards.
With the release came an error message for those who attempted to launch the game that simply stated “The gateway connection timed out. Please try again later.” A few others noted crashes and even random T-posing by their characters in-game.
In regards to these issues, the devs posted,
“We have identified some issues that have impacted your gaming experience and are now actively working on solutions. We are committed to constant self-reflection and improvement, with your satisfaction as our top priority.”
A list of issues on the official website highlights what the team is looking to fix, from the login timeout issues to even highlighting problems playing on certain Samsung devices.
Hopefully, within the next few days, the issues get resolved, but only time will tell as they keep us posted on the progress.
