According to Wowhead, Pat Nagle inspired Angler Extreme, Nat Pagle. The video discusses Pat’s history with WoW and provides additional insight into WoW’s development.

• Nat Pagle's Extreme Anglin' Boots is one of the rewards from the Stranglethorn Fishing Extravaganza.

• In Zul'Gurub, you'll find Pagle's Point, an area scattered with fishing equipment and bottles. Players can fish up the boss Gahz'ranka, who drops fun items like Nat Pagle's Broken Reel and Nat Pagle's Fish Terminator.

• You can befriend Nat Pagle as part of The Anglers in Mists of Pandaria. Once you've reached Best Friend (Exalted) you will have access to both Nat's Hat and Nat's Fishing Journal.

• Nat has also made his way to Warlords of Draenor. He's both a Garrison Follower as well as the NPC presiding over the Fishing Shack. Once Nat is a follower, he'll periodically show up to cheer you on in the world, before leaving to drink a beer. But more importantly, you can catch Lunkers without bait, which can be turned in for Nat's Lucky Coin, needed to purchase fun items like Reins of the Crimson Water Strider and Nat's Drinking Hat.
