The World of Warcraft Classic team will be growing even more in order to provide players with that nostalgic and forever missed feeling they get from playing the older versions of the game.
In a recent interview with Gamespot, the World of Warcraft Classic associate production director Clayton Stone and lead software engineer Nora Valletta gave the rundown on how exactly the small team was even able to renew the old world feel in the first place. During the interview, Stone states:
“In order to be able to do that, and fulfill those ambitions, it certainly required some growth for us to be able to accomplish it. Considering the response we've seen, which has just felt amazing, it fills us with confidence that players are going to want more new experiences and so that's what we are trying to build and build a team for.”
Several versions of the game are being run simultaneously, and this is not easy for the team they currently have. To provide even more, including balance changes to classes, which the team never thought they'd be able to accomplish, they are actively hiring more hands to keep the games running as well as they can.
Valletta stated:
“We also have to be able to focus on delivering new content. There's a lot of things our players are really hungry for that we want to make sure we can deliver sustainably to them.”
Hopefully, the team continues its efforts to grow, as classic WoW fans seem to always come back to the “good ol’ days” of World of Warcraft.
