Wargaming has teamed up with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to create a totally tubular crossover with its naval combat MMO World of Warships

The crossover is the first of its kind with between the iconic cartoon franchise and World of Warships, and it sees a host of cosmetics come to Wargaming's MMO, from ship skins, flags and more. The iconic Turtles also now serve as Commanders for players to choose, in addition to a few villains joining the fray.

Via this morning's press release:

"In true Turtle Power fashion, six celebrated heroes and villains from the franchise also arrive as Commanders, ready to lead warships to victory in battle. Included are Leonardo for Italy, Raphael for USA, Donatello for Europe, Michelangelo for Pan-America, Shredder for Japan, and finally, Krang for Germany. All of this arrives alongside five new flags, a brand-new patch available through a chain of mission, and Pizza Time Premium Containers which have the chance to surprise players with one of the gnarly new themed items."

The bundles will be available in the store from September 25th through October 10th. They can be purchased using the in-game premium currency, Doubloons. The contents of each bundle are listed in the patch notes

As a related note, to celebrate the crossover, World of Warships sent out press and creators a package. While we normally don't share this stuff publicly when they come (mostly because we don't want to look like gloating), this one deserves a shoutout. Wargaming decided the best way to celebrate the launch was by sponsoring an endangered sea turtle in my name through the Sea Turtle Conservancy. Great stuff, Wargaming.
