World of Warships: Legends has sailed onto mobile platforms alongside a new campaign, new Japanese cruisers, and the new Planet Clash event on all Legends platforms.
The global mobile release on iOS and Android is designed with touchscreen controls, along with the detailed, historically-inspired ships and maps that the World of Warships IP is known for. In announcing the full mobile release, Wargaming notes that most of the ship types are available, and we can expect updates to add more content to round things out.
“We've implemented almost all those available in the console version and are working on incorporating aircraft carriers, Fleets, and Training Rooms into the mobile version as well. Regarding future features, we plan to release the same content on both platforms wherever possible, but there may be occasional small differences,” the team said in the mobile release announcement.
Cross-platform play and progression on both PlayStation and Xbox, meaning you can battle anywhere, then resume on console later.
The new launch also comes alongside a new Swedish campaign, Sveriges Sällhet, which began this week and has 100 milestones to complete. The catch-up mechanic is in play, and the Versus AI mode is also available for Endurance and Shakedown Trials, all of which could be useful if playing on the go.
New Japanese light cruisers enter Early Access, with five new ships from Tier IV to Tier VIII, featuring heavy torpedoes and the flexible turning torpedoes. Concealment is also on the table with these ships. Four are in Early Access now, with the Tier VIII Takahashi entering the tech tree in the next update.
The Planet Clash cosmic event is also here from now through April 15th– and there are ships —spaceships. You have to stop the space battleship Alldestroyer from leaving with important documents. So, it's off to space, and your choice of three spaceships just for this event. This is part of the April Fools’ Day celebration with Wargaming’s typical humor, but it is a real event, unfolding over several missions during the next couple of weeks.
