World of Warships has launched a new Star Trek crossover event, on now. Expect new Operations, ships, and of course, new Star Trek character Commanders.
There are three new Operations, with each running for two weeks. First up features the Borg Collective’s opprortunistic attack on a scientific gathering on Vulcan, where representatives from the Federation, Klingon Empire, Romulan Star Empire, and Vulcans are gathered together.
To participate, you get to take the helm of Operation-specific ships: a battleship, cruiser, and destroyer. Fan favorite commanders Picard, Sela, Gowron, and Spock will be your lineup.
At first, your ships will feature basic-level modules but you can start unlocking upgrades through hitting reward track levels. Each ship will have four slots, and you can try different combinations. You'll get to add new weapons, shields, and Star Trek flavor to fight against the board with things like phasers and photon torpedoes.
As part of the reward tracks, you can also unlock a fourth aircraft carrier, the U.S.S Enterprise-D. Unlock the Grey Ghost in the Operations, and purchase it for your permanent collection with doubloons. Also on the track are ther goodies, including "To Boldly Go" and "Assimilated" permanent camouflages.
The collaboration features a Star Trek-themed port where you can anchor your ships, keep track of your progress, and even start ship upgrades when you have unlocked new options. There are four new character Commanders. Joining the lineup are the Borg Queen for the Yamato, Klingon Worf for the French Bougainville, Riker for the Pn-Asian Tier I Chengan, and Janeway for the American Tier X Salem. A special mission chain wll unlock with 13.10. The Star Trek memorabilia in the collaboration includes two new permanent camouflages, a Borg skin for the Yamato, and the U.S.S Voyager skin for Salem.
The latest World of Warships x Star Trek collaboration will run until mid-December.
