World of Warships is ready to celebrate the Year of the Dragon with a Lunar New Year event, with its own Event Pass. Wargaming is also making some adjustments to submarine and anti-submarine warfare , bringing back Airship Escort, and a new campaign.
It wouldn’t be World of Warships without a big celebration to mark a significant holiday. This event has its own Event Pass to progress through, with two progression lines, each with 20 levels. One of these lines was made in collaboration with streamer The RussianBadger and features rewards a The RussianBadger voiced Commander, as well as special commemorative flag and a permanent camo. The second progression line could net you Lunar Warrior camouflages, Commanders, flags, and more.
This month's update improves submarine and anti-submarine warfare. Certain lines will get the Depth Charge Airstrike consumable and the Submarine Surveillance Consumable. In addition, submerged subs will get a warning message if another underwater submarine comes within 2km to prevent collisions.
Airship Escort also returns in a two-week limited-time game type. Elaborate with your team to guide an airship to a destination while you also fend off your opponents at sea level. In order to win, eliminate all of your enemies on the battlefield or get your airship to the goal. It's that simple, but also not simple at all.
The USS Enterprise Tier VIII premium aircraft carrier also gets its own special event. The Grey Ghost campaign features a series of mission chains to earn rewards. Among those rewards include a Grey Ghost patch, a USS Enterprise flag, and Enterprise tokens. If you complete the full campaign during the six-week event you'll unlock the ability to get the Enterprize in the Armoury or the shop.
