World of Warships is marking its 6th anniversary with the new 0.10.8 update. This update brings with it some new challenges, special loot, and ship releases.

The anniversary challenges begin with a series of battle performance bonuses. These will run from Friday, September 17th at 5:00AM PT through Thursday, November 4th at 5:00AM PT. Prizes for tier five and up include a special resource for the duration of the event, Festive Tokens, Supercontainers, and gift containers. There's also a special section of the armory to exchange for the "6 Years of World of Warships" collection to get permanent camouflages for the VII Lyon, VII Yorck, VII Shchors, VII Gadjah Mada, VII Akatsuki, and VII Zara. There are also gift containers and expendable camouflages as well.

The anniversary also brings the "6 Years of World of Warships" collection, laid out like a big jigsaw puzzle, with pieces to obtain as drops from anniversary containers. These come as loot drops from a special combat mission chain, battling in the Aircraft Bureaus Rivalry event, by exchanging Festive Tokens, or eventually, in exchange for coal in the updated Armory. Complete the entire puzzle, which features a series of important events over the past year of World of Warships, and take home a Supercontainer, six gift containers, and the sixth anniversary flag. Wargaming also promises a few surprises too, with hidden bonuses and achievements for the festivities.

When the update goes live, Dutch carriers will come out of early access, and new Soviet aircraft carriers enter early access, with Soviet Tokens awarded in ways like daily bundles and participation in the Aircraft Bureaus Rivalry.

Speaking of the Aircraft Bureaus Rivalry Event, this will run from Wednesday, September 8th at 8:30AM PT through Wednesday, October 6th at 2:30 AM PT. If you participated in the Battle of the Beasts, this will play similarly, with a couple of exceptions. In one change, there are three teams, not four, and another important one means rewards like patches will be rewarded for personal progress, this way players don't get locked out of loot if their teams don't do well.

With the anniversary event and the Aircraft Bureaus Rivalry event linked, prizes like Soviet tokens, anniversary containers, and themed patches are up for grabs in this big update.
