World of Warships is starting 2024 by adding in some new US aircraft carriers, the return of Bounty Hunter, returning hololive collaboration, and new progression events.
Three new US aircraft carriers enter Early Access with the update. The new ships are the Tier VI Independence, Tier VIII Yorktown, and Tier X Essex. Their introduction offers some new options, as these new ships are limited to a single standard squadron and torpedo bombers feature two supplemental tactical squadrons, one for direct attack and the other for dive bomber aircraft. At Tier VIII, tactical squadrons also get access to a new consumable: the Smoke Curtain Generator.
Whether you go all in right now on the Early Access ships or not, there is a US Air Carriers event with 20 levels of daily and weekly missions to complete. Do so and you can earn yourself flags, camouflages, and containers on the list of rewards. a second progression line will also be available to unlock if you want 20 more levels and more goodies.
There are some other events coming, with Bounty Hunt coming back on February 1st and a returning hololive collaboration on February 2nd. The event will feature several VTubers as Commanders, with Moona Hoshinova, Takanashi Kiara, Shishiro Botan, and Watson Amelia all coming to lead. This event will run for 2 weeks and feature resale items like skins, consumables, a camo bundle, flags, and more.
Those who want a more traditional bit of action can check out Season 15 and the return of Ranked Battles this Wednesday, January 10th. World of Warships will also add three new Brawls on January 15th, with rule sets for additional challenge.
