Avowed, Obsidian Entertainment’s upcoming RPG set in the same universe as its Pillars of Eternity series of CRPG titles, is set to launch on Battle.net.
As a first party Microsoft title, Avowed will be available on many of the usual suspect platforms, including Xbox Series X|S, the Xbox app on PC, day one on Game Pass, and Steam, but its inclusion on Battle.net is particularly noteworthy as players of Blizzard’s World of Warcraft can use their amassed gold to exchange for WoW Tokens and potentially snag Avowed for free.
Players are able to purchase WoW Tokens from the Battle.net Shop and sell them on WoW’s auction house for gold. These tokens can then be exchanged by the holder for $15 of Battle.net balance or 30 days of Game Time for WoW. With enough WoW Tokens (five, to be exact) players can redeem for enough Battle.net balance to purchase Avowed outright. This is no small feat, however, as WoW Tokens will set you back over 250K Gold each. But hey, free is possible for those so inclined.
Avowed will launch on February 18, 2025. Pre-orders are available now. The Avowed Premium Edition ($89.99 USD) will grant players five days of early access (among other bonuses).
