Blizzard has just announced the release date for World of Warcraft’s long-anticipated Burning Crusade Classic. Mark down June 1 on your calendars.
The announcement of this release date corroborates rumors which we previously reported which pointed to a June 1 date. These rumors were originally spotted by Wowhead after being posted to Reddit.
Of course, The Burning Crusade Classic has been in testing on the World of Warcraft Classic PTR for several months. It’s important to note that this expansion will not replace the original Classic servers. If you’re currently playing on those servers, you can continue playing on them until you’re ready to move on to TBCC.
However, the big news of course is the confirmed June 1 release date. As with all expansions, you can expect the pre-patch to drop on May 18 following regional scheduled maintenance. You can check out this page for full release times for the June 1 date per region.
This news also seemingly confirms a recent interview with Game Director Ion Hazzikostas in which he confirmed that TBCC and 9.1 Chains of Domination would not launch at the same time. So then, for the Horde?
