The Dragonflight pre-patch phase 2 will begin next week, and Blizzard will hold a live stream on Tuesday to reveal the launch cinematic and more as we get ever-closer to the release.
Blizzard has been sharing numerous updates ahead of the upcoming expansion’s pre-patch Phase 2, with the changes that will bring, most notably adding the ability to play the Dracthyr Evoker.
The stream begins at 9:00 AM PDT / 12 PM Eastern on the Warcraft Twitch and YouTube channels. Lead Cinematic Designer Terran Gregory and Cinematic Director Anna Morgan, who’ll take us through the launch cinematic presentation and prepare all for the dragonflights returning and the chance to take to the skies.
During the first phase of the pre patch, everyone has had a chance to test out the new specializations and talent systems and work on creating their builds. The new overhauled UI and customizable HUD have also been available during this first round.
The team has made available a consistently updated Hub showing the dragon flight pre expansion Phase 2 update notes. First up is the intro to the Dracthyr Evoker, then its starting area , The Forbidden Reach. Other previewed areas and features, include the new in-game event, Primal Storms, which is fueled by attacks from the Primalists and sets the stage for the tale about to be told in Dragonflight. Also on the way is the Uldaman: Legacy of Tyr dungeon, one of the expansion’s four level-up dungeons.
Coming in this pre patch are changes and adjustments to classes, including some talents getting adjusted icons and some getting altered names for clarity. There are also some changes to PvP that the team has been working to refine.
In Arenas and Solo Shuffle, Dampening will now start at 10% healing reduction but will keep the same rates of increase and time. The promised additional penalty for Solo Shuffle deserters will also be included, with the deserter penalty increased to 150 from 100. Solo Shuffle is also getting some attention to tanks and a balance change for Protection Paladins as healers.
