Blizzard has revealed stats from World of Warcraft Plunderstorm matches, where the pirates of WoW show off their insane wins, losses, and achievements earned within the Battle Royale mode.
Participating in the event gives everyone a chance to earn cosmetic rewards and more that can be used within several of the game's versions, including Classic. Now, the numbers and stats on just how everyone is doing within the limited-time mode have been revealed, really showcasing those who rose above the rest.
The most wins by a single player was 321 total, whereas on the other side of the coin, the Tarantulas have taken out over 284,000 players since the event began. That means that most players get killed by the spiders lurking around the grounds, rather than the opposition, which really brings back memories for Classic players who got wrecked in Elwynn Forest back in the day.
The spiders have killed more players than the Elite made out of gold coins, known as the Pieces of Hate, as they have only slain 217,000 players thus far. In terms of healing wounds, players have consumed over 184 million Health Brews to keep themselves alive during the battle. According to the devs, that's over 10,000 backyard swimming pools slurped down by players since the start of the event; they must be extremely thirsty.
As for the amount of gold acquired by players, over 849 million Piles of Plunder have been collected overall, with the most Plunder collected by a singular player being 1,403,327 total.
Within some of the chests in the Plunderstorm are spells and abilities to seal the deal on a win, and the total amount of spells and abilities cast since day one is over 7.7 billion, which is a lot of carnage to rain down upon the enemy. The most popular spell used is the Storm Archon in particular, having been used over 1.2 billion times.
The Plunderstorm event is an interesting one, and though it will end on May 14th, it truly has taken the players and fans of World of Warcraft by storm.
