Blizzard has revealed plans for World of Warcraft esports Arena World Championship & Mythic Dungeon International 2020.
Format changes are set to hit Mythic Dungeon International, most notably:
- The Europe and Asia (EU/Asia) division includes players from Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Korea, China, and Taiwan.
- The Americas (AMER) division includes players from The Americas, Australia, and New Zealand.
The prize pool this year will be $300k. A new dungeon is included this year, called Operation: Mechagon, which contains 8 bosses split into two wings – Junkyard and Workshop.
As for Arena World Championship, format changes are detailed as well. Registration will begin in Spring for the online qualification cups. A prize pool of $10k was announced. The AWC will begin after World of Warcraft: Shadowlands has officially released later this year.
