There are so many things coming to World of Warcraft both this week and next, one of which allows players to join in on the fun without an active subscription.
Mists of Pandaria Remix is just around the corner, and just like Plunderstorm, this limited-time event won’t be around forever but will give us plenty of time to enjoy the new content. The new mode will be available to everyone, as no expansion is needed, but you will have to purchase some form of Game Time to join the fun.
The event allows us to experience the Mists of Pandaria expansion at an accelerated pace, going through each and every dungeon and raid like we did in the years before. You will need to create a new character, but we start at level 10 and can get up to level 70. New content and a new way of leveling also bring new loot, whether it be from chests, bosses, or creatures, there is an entirely new system that allows us to take on tougher content.
Another feature this weekend is the free-to-play Welcome Back Weekend event, which allows us to dive into Cataclysm Classic without an active World of Warcraft subscription. This will grant accounts with an inactive sub full access to World of Warcraft Classic progressions realms and the characters on those realms.
We can choose from Goblins or Worgens now, and embark on the familiar yet brand-new journey into a blazing Azeroth. Both the Outlands and Northrend will have faster leveling, and the dungeon finder has been upgraded, as well as the Collections UI and more.
Though right now Cataclysm is only in its pre-patch state, the full expansion will go live on May 20th, bringing Deathwing back around once more.
