If you've been playing World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade Classic, you might want to double-check that your realm will be here come August. This is because Blizzard is shuttering twenty-one realms on August 10th in order to "maintain healthy populations."
The news was posted to the official forums, with CM Kaivax stating that the realms in question have "dropped to a low population." In order to help facilitate the move, players on the affected realms will be given free transfer tokens to move off before the August 10th deadline.

Once these realms have been closed, remaining player characters will be automatically transferred off the server to a new destination, which Blizzard warns that if you're character is transferred this way it may remain unavailable to play up to two weeks after the transfer occurs.
The team is also removing restrictions on transferring from a Normal to PvP realm in Burning Crusade Classic, as well as removing the restriction on having a PvP character in both faction.
