World of Warcraft launched on November 23, 2004 and the game has been a classic since then. Blizzard is marking the anniversary with gifts for all, nostalgic bosses, and more. This after announcing the conclusion to Shadowlands is coming.

The 17th anniversary event starts on Monday, November 15th, and runs through  December 6th. When you log in, you'll receive a special anniversary gift package with 200 Timewarped Badges, the opportunity to start a new quest “A Timely Invitation”, a celebration firework, and a celebration package item that will increase your XP and reputation gains by 17%.  Daily quests will also give you a chance to earn more badges by answering World of Warcraft trivia or by defeating some enemies. Show off your trivia knowledge if you want to, but you could fight for a chance at classic loot.

By trading badges, you'll be able to secure some other fun items to celebrate. Some of these include a Corgi Pup pet, Overtuned Corgi Glasses, Tranquil Mechanical Yeti Costume, and Celebration Wands in the varieties Gnoll, Murloc, Trogg, and Quillboar. Target a party member with one of these wands, and they'll get a corresponding costume.

The Caverns of Time also holds a celebration throughout the event, with an ongoing party. In addition to the silly side of the fun, players who are level 30 and above can take on some classic bosses using Timewalking. Some of these include Lord Kazzak, and one of the four Dragons of Nightmare each day. For your trouble, you could walk away with weapons or armor, including several new pieces.

Are you looking for a new mount? Well you can take on a Battleground, Korrak’s Revenge, and you might walk away with a Stormpike Battle Ram if you’re Alliance or a Frostwolf Snarler for the Horde.

For the full details on the event, including all the loot you can walk away with,   see this official announcement on World of Warcraft.
