World of Warcraft is set to launch its next major update, Seeds of Renewal, on January 16th, The team is taking us into the new zone of Bel'ameth, a new night elf settlement coming in the update.
This big update for Dragonflight is marked by, well, renewal, and the new zone makes sense in context of what has come before. Bel'ameth is known as the “Arms of the Goddess” and is a place for the kaldorei to rest. You’ll find the zone near the Ohn'ahran Plains and under the new World Tree. Hence, renewal.
Of course, that’s just the premise, and more will be revealed as we get to know more about quests and story WoW will tell in the update.
There are a few sites to look out for, one being Arlithrien Lodge, which is named after the Pools of Arlithrien of the destroyed World Tree, Teldrassil. Explore some more and find Bel'ameth Harbor and Evenfall Watchtower. The harbor is connected to the watchtower, and serves as a connection point via a portal to the Feathermoon Stronghold over in Feralas. Another watchtower, Twilight Watchtower, is also to be discovered. It serves as a place in the north of Amirdrassil as a space where dark rangers, demon hunters, death knights, and Shen'dralar mages can train and socialize amongst themselves.
With a brand new update, especially one as significant as this one, expect new people to meet and creatures to discover. As far as the bestiary goes, expect hippogriffs and owls. Some notable members of kaldorei society will also be there to acquaint yourselves with. The names may be familiar, but expect to encounter Mordent Evenshade, the leader of the Shen'dralar Highborne and Jarod Shadowsong. Both will feature in the new zone, and more will be revealed later.
