It's time to trick or treat in World of Warcraft again, with the Headless Horseman to be challenged and all the fun of Hallow's End. There's a new item this year, along with returning seasonal loot you can trade for by earning Tricky Treats from your adventuring.
If you want to take on the Headless Horseman, characters from 10-50 can queue for the event dungeon, with victory leading to some key rewards, including the new Headless Horseman's Hearthstone. You'll be able to use this spookier option to get back to your set Hearthstone location.
Other fun includes a questline from the Hag of the Crooked Tree, with a winding tale and a series of challenges that will get you some more treats to trade for rewards. You'll also be able to grab one of four festive cosmetic witch hats upon completion of the tale of the sisters.
Achievement hunter? There are 21 from Hallow's End to gollect, and you can get a special title, The Hallowed, by completing the meta-achievement Hallowed Be Thy Name. There are achievements for ruining the Alliance or Horde's day, depending on your own loyalties, but the rest are more or less the same. Kill the Headless Horseman is a good place to start, getting a mask during the event, be transformed bya Hallowed wand, and more will add to your collection.
Of course, you'll be able to trick or treat and gather candy from candy buckets all across the lands and fill up on rewards. This event will run on both World of Warcraft and World of Warcraft Classic from today, October 18th through November 1st. Classic will run the event in a different way but still packed with festive fun. For the full event announcement, including rewards and candy locations, you can see the WoW event announcement.
