Dragonflight Season 4 is now live in World of Warcraft, both making some big changes and new improvements, while also winding the era down before The War Within.

The new season is here, ushering in a significant dungeon overhaul intended to offer better pacing and rewards, more options, and keeping all difficulties relevant. All eight Dragonflight dungeons are now on the new system, which adjusts Heroic, Mythic, and Mythic+ (Normal is the same as before). Heroic is now tuned to baseline Mythic (Mythic 0), while Mythic gets increased difficulty and becomes an option to challenge  without timers or limitations on changing talents or specializations in an effort to create something like a mega-dungeon level of difficulty with new parameters. Across the board, the basic structure of dungeon rewards isn't changing that much, but the tuning means  there are some differences.

Speaking of rewards, Season 4 is ready for something new, including a new currency –Antique Bronze Bullion. Each week, a Dragonflight raid becomes “Awakened”,  meaning that enemies within are stronger, and they drop better loot. You can also get a buff to improve Reputation gain. Additionally, you can get the new currency through a new gear upgrade track, Awakened.  complete awakened raids, defeat bosses, earn yourself the new currency and begin exchanging them for new raid gear items.

We can't forget about a brand new PVP season. The rankings are reset, the gear sets are new, there are mounts and titles and achievements to earn. As for mounts, there are the Vicious Dreamtalon and Draconic Gladiator’s Drake up for grabs if you best enough of your fellow players.

The full update is now live, and the season offers some variety to play us all out of the Dragonflight era into what’s next.
