For those of us who live in MMOs just to costume and show off, World of Warcraft's upcoming Dragonflight expansion will have a much-needed and appreciated change in store to how it deals with transmogs.
Transmogs in World of Warcraft only operates on the characters you've earned the unlock on, making it a slog if you're looking to deck out an alt in a cool piece of gear or even sell it on the auction house, only to have to grind through content, again, to obtain it.
However, coming with Dragonflight is a change that will see transmogs be more useful and with less grind, meaning players can spend more time showing off their awesome unlocks instead. Per World of Warcraft YouTuber MrGM (per PCGamesN), transmogs will now unlock for alt characters as well once you've earned them, giving you access to them regardless of which toon you're playing. MrGM recently interviewed the WoW devs and talked about upcoming changes to drops in Wrath of the Lich King Classic, among other topics.
In Dragonflight you can unlock other armor types transmog ensembles even if you don't/can't use that armor type! Incredible change ?? pic.twitter.com/U8ntdNmoD8

It's important to note that this doesn't necessarily mean you'll be able to wear the transmog, especially if your amor type is different than the unlock. But if you're able to, it saves a ton of time off the clock from having to go through the grind just to unlock it again.
