World of Warcraft The War Within is out in less than two weeks, and like all expansions it’s going to come with some changes. Hero talents are a hot topic, and Blizzard has released more information to better understand what we can build for our characters.
Hero Talents are one of the many new features headed to The War Within, as it is an entirely separate talent tree that we can use to spice up our abilities and passives. These new talents unlock at level 71 and just like regular talent trees, we can choose one to activate and swap out as we see fit. The latest dev post gives us the lay of the land and showcases each of the Hero talent trees we will be able to choose from.
There will be a total of 11 nodes within each new tree, and just like in Vanilla, every level grants us one Hero talent. This means that once we hit the max level of 80, we will have unlocked the entirety of the tree, not just a few as we do with the main talent specialization we choose. Every tree available will offer utility, buffs, and new skills but will also build upon a core theme known as the capstone talent.
One of the most highly requested archetypes is finally here, as the Dark Ranger tree for Hunters will allow us to live out our wildest Sylvannas Windrunner fantasy. Most fans seem to be thrilled about this specific Hero talent tree, but some do think that the Dark Ranger in particular could be a recycle of animations and content we have seen before.
