The World of Warcraft site has been updated to provide players with a preview of the upcoming Battle of Dazar'alor raid. The raid is set to open on Normal and Heroic difficulties on January 22nd, with Mythic and LFR Wing 1 opening on January 29th. The LFR version will see Wing 2 open on February 12th and Wing 3 on February 26th. The experience is a first-of-its kind as Horde and Alliance will begin at different spots with different objectives.

Horde players will begin the raid by defending against an invasion in the northern jungle of Zuldazar in the Defense of Dazar’alor.

In the heart of Zuldazar the tables will turn, and Horde players will experience the story—and a trio of encounters—from the perspective of the Alliance. During this middle act, Death’s Bargain, Horde characters will transform into soldiers of the opposite faction (including their associated racials) based on their race.

The Alliance is set to stage an attack on the heart of the Zandalari empire in a bid to sever the ties of the Zandalari and the Horde. They’ll begin with a naval strike on the docks of Dazar’alor in the Siege of Dazar’alor and push their way toward Rastakhan’s throne room in the heart of Dazar’alor in Empire’s Fall.

To cap off the event, players will speak to a scout to shift to the Horde perspective and take on the final three Alliance bosses. During this final act, Might of the Alliance, Alliance characters will transform into soldiers of the opposite faction (including their associated racials) based on their race.

The raid will come with a number of new achievements spread across all four available difficulties.

Read the full preview of the three wings of Battle of Dazar'alor and the nine bosses in the raid, by visiting the World of Warcraft site.
