World of Warcraft’s most recent charity efforts, selling charity pets, Sunny and Flurky, have raised $1.5 million to help the people of Ukraine. Blizzard announced details on the charity efforts, including where all of the money from the WoW-BlueCheck Ukraine partnership will be going.

This is the latest charity campaign and the World of Warcraft community has a history of coming out and supporting various causes, so this more than a million dollars raised for humanitarian aid is not a surprise. Of course, it didn't hurt that you got some really cute new pets in the colors of the Ukraine flag, to mark your support.

One of the reasons that BlueCheck Ukraine is getting the money is that it partners with organizations that are already on the ground helping the people of Ukraine. Organizations that will benefit specialize in getting medical supplies, food, and vital services to those who need them.

Among the organizations receiving money are SpivDilla, a charity platform that helps people with online mental health counseling, and a mobile service team to help children and to feed families around the front line regions in Ukraine. Another organization, Cash for Refugees, does exactly what it says. They provide cash assistance to the displaced, especially mothers  with children,  as well as elderly and disabled people. A third organization, the Ukraine Assistance Organization helps fund mobile medical teams to get care to people who need it. There's also an organization, Lviv INSO, which was originally founded as a philharmonic orchestra. However, when the need arose, they became a humanitarian relief organization helping get urgent supplies for those in the front line areas.

These are not the only organizations benefiting, as 10 will get help from the money raised. You can see full details on all of the organizations and more on the efforts, over at World of Warcraft.
