World of Warcraft Season of Mastery for Classic goes live tomorrow. It all kicks off when the realms go live at 6 p.m. Eastern time/11 p.m. GMT. Blizzard has published a guide with everything you need to know before you start off in the new mode.

Some of the challenges include world buff effects not being applicable in raids, with both buff and debuff limits also removed. To discourage powerleveling, if an enemy is killed by players made up of lower-level players with one or more significantly higher level players, less XP will be granted.

Bosses in Onyxia’s lair and Molten Core have had their health significantly increased and other boss mechanics have been changed to make them tougher. Some of these are old mechanics that were originally cut and now re-added, and some are new adjustments that were done based on beta feedback

Although this is an accelerated, more difficult and faster paced season, there are some helpful changes too. All characters who are under level 60 will get the Adventure Awaits buff, which will give a 40% boost to XP gains from quest turn-ins and an additional bonus XP from group and dungeon quest turn ins. The Burning Crusade Looking  for Group tool is active as well.

PVP options are also more robust than the original release, with double the maximum amount of PVP weekly ranking progress awarded, and Warsong Gulch, Arathi Basin, and Altarac Valley available from the start, including all of their rewards. World PVP In Eastern Plaguelands is also in at launch.

In other words, the experience is designed for those looking for a challenge but also to enjoy familiar and even beloved content in a new way. Overall, the guide should prepare those who choose to go along for the ride to get ready to jump in tomorrow.
