Wrath of the Lich King Classic is preparing for Operation Gnomeregan and Zalazane's Fall, and the team is making some adjustments looking ahead to the debut of Cataclysm Classic.

Starting tomorrow, March 26th, you can represent your faction during these two events. Alliance players will help High Tinker Mekkatorque and Horde players will assist Vol’jin as both sides work together in a fight to retake their homelands.

The WoW Classic team is making several adjustments to Defense Protocol: Gamma dungeons and acquisition rated for Heroic tier tokens in 25-player Icecrown Citadel, and boosted rates for Fragments of Val'anyr and Shadowfrost Shards. Defense Protocol: Gamma dungeons bosses also drop 2 Defiler’s Scourgestones. The changes, detailed in the event announcement, will last for this event and beyond, as these changes will run until the Cataclysm pre-patch.

So will you help High Tinker Mekkatorque to serve the gnomes in exile and to gather behind the banner of Gnomeregan? Fight alongside the Gnomeregan offensive and help the war effort in the event.

Or will you log into a Horde character and instead help out troll chieftain Vol’jin to take back the troll homeland?

To complete either side of the vent, you’ll need to be prepared to join and fight alongside your faction in the name of freedom and win yourself some loot along the way.

To complete these events, and you could take on both if you’re an equal opportunity player, you’ll need to have a character of 75-80 to make it all the way through to the end. Waiting for a victor of Gnomeregan is a Gnomeregan Overcloak. For the Horde victory in taking back the troll homeland, there’s a Sen'jin Overcloak.
