World of Warcraft Classic will be getting the Call of the Crusade on June 20th with the next big content update. Later that week, additional content will open up.
Blizzard announced the planned new content release today, just about a month before the new update goes live. June 20th will open up Wrath of the Lich King Classic PVP season 7.
Opening with this update are the brand new Titan Rune Dungeons–Defense Protocol Beta. The bosses killed with Defense Protocol Beta active will give loot from the 10-player version of Ulduar. The final boss will drop a new currency called Sidereal Essence, which you can exchange for rewards from 10-player Hard Mode Ulduar gear. The challenge includes higher level difficulty where the creatures and the bosses all have new effects and extra health and damage. Like some of the other challenges the Classic team has come up with, these are designed to jazz things up a bit so that you'll have to figure out some new strategies.
The Trial of the Champion dungeon will also open that day. The five-player dungeon will welcome you to the Crusader’s Coliseum for a challenging instance. The Argent’s Tournament will also arrive, with some new quests and daily quests. This version of the world event will let you get yourself some new rewards.
Two parts of the big update that week will open on June 22nd at 3 PM PDT/6 PM EDT. Trial of the Crusader and trial of the grand Crusader will both open up, adding a 10 and 25 player raid to the menu of options you have to undertake. Level 80 raid dungeon Onyxia's Lair will also open up for those who wish to challenge the brood mother of the black dragonflight in her lair.
