World of Titans Teases New Update, With Details on Combat Updates, Faction System, and a Seamless World

The World of Titans team is teasing its next update, dropping some details to  look out for in their next gameplay video.

The Gal’Tal Mountains have been remastered as part of a pass over the environment to bring it more in line with the lore and general improvements. When you enter the game, you’ll spawn into an area in Gal’Tal that offers vendors and tutorial-like questlines that will help you kick things off.

The game has expanded in development as the team fine tunes how they want to build out all the features. The Forsaken and Honored have been integrated with the faction system. At level 20 you'll get a quest that will let you complete a quest line and offer the chance to choose which faction you want to belong to as you continue your adventure.

This decision is important to consider, since previous allies can suddenly turn into enemies if you choose the faction they are not aligned with. Some cities will belong to each faction, and control matters. Picking a faction can also limit your travel because you risk death traveling into the opposite faction’s terrain, particularly if you have PVP mode enabled.

Other details in the update include the combat improvements, work towards a seamles world, and the addition of several new in-game currencies. These currencies are not monetized, but all earnable in game, and while for now, they’re mostly to get you prepped for endgame. You’ll earn them as you progress, eventually letting you access vendors with gear, pets, mounts, and other items.

Work continues on the ultimate goal of a seamless world, with almost no loading screens. They're also counting on adding enterable buildings and other interior locations in large cities, along with a mostly seamless World outside of occasional things like dungeon or raid entrances.

Finally, combat improvements based on community feedback are coming. There's polish, new sound effects, and elements to make it more exciting while still feeling like a classic inspired old school MMO. They've enhanced enemy AI with new mechanics and reactions, and added advanced skills and spells for higher level combat. This also gives you more goals to pursue, with each class getting new skills and new animations

World of Titans' next gameplay video should be out soon.
