World of Tanks is marking  one year on Steam (and cross-play action) and the presents for the anniversary are for the player. Wargaming has also announced an upcoming charity livestream.

Starting today and running through May 23rd,  players  on Steam can participate in the special anniversary giveaway, with special in-game activities to mark the first anniversary, and get a free “Lightweight Fighter Pack” DLC with the Cromwell B British Tier VI tank. Now available, the DLC pack has been discounted to free through May 23rd at 1 p.m. Eastern or 7 p.m. CEST. There is also a free anniversary gift package in the best section via the in-game store.

As far as anniversary missions go, they are also on through the end of the event where you can play through five missions, and complete them for in-game resources and a special event currency called Anniversary tokens. Use those tokens to grab some additional rewards in the anniversary shop. These include garage slots, credits, and consumables. Some rewards you'll only be able to claim once but others you can keep collecting.

There's also a brand-new charity livestream coming next week. Starting next Friday, May 20th at 12 p.m. Central Time, a streaming charity campaign featuring a 32 hour fundraising drive to raise money for United Service Organizations, also known as The USO. The USO is a private organization that lends support to members of the US military and their families in everything from offering services like free phone calls and internet access inside and outside combat zones, care packages, baby showers and supplies for parents to be, care packages of toiletries and personal care items, and perhaps what it is most famous for, entertainment shows for service members and their families.

The charity stream will start on May 20th at 12 p.m. central Time and run through May 21st at 4 p.m. Central Time. Head over to World of Tanks for a full list of streamers and details on the charity campaign, which will also include a silent auction and special items to buy in addition to raising donations.
