Wargaming continues with its Metal Mania music collaboration events, this time featuring legendary metal band Iron Maiden debuting on console in World of Tanks Modern Armor.
The first band featured in this summer’s metal collaboration was Sabaton, then came Megadeth. Now, it’s time for Iron Maiden to step onto the stage with new themed tanks and commanders, and more. This is the final part of the huge metal collaboration event, and it starts today, running through October 3rd.
In World of Tanks Modern Armor, you can take on challenge stages to unlock rewards exclusive to the collaboration and Iron Maiden. The first potential reward you can add to your arsenal is the Senjutsu TO-55 flamethrower tank. Enter the battlefield in a big way, shooting fire at your enemies in World War II battles. The A Matter of Life and Death (AMOLAD) tank is a Cold War vehicle, and exclusive to WoTMA. This tank was designed especially for this event and both of these tanks are intended to communicate the power and force that Iron Maiden have brought to hard rock and heavy metal for decades.
The collaboration continues with Eddie, Iron Maiden’s figurehead, bringing his powerful growing voice as a new 3D Hero Commander. There will also be 2D standard Eddie commanders to collect, with 14 added to the game and designed to pay tribute to Eddie. If you are an Iron Maiden fan then you know Eddie well, as he has been on on all of the band's albums, but if you're not familiar, you'll get there very quickly.
There are even two Iron Maiden songs featured through the garage for those who own the brand new tanks. Those are "Brighter Than a Thousand Suns" and "The Writing on the Wall."
