World of Tanks has a big new collaboration to start the year off: Rambo. Featuring movie characters and rewards–including a special tank–to make yours.
Starting on January 16th and running through January 30th is the Rambo Battle Pass. The hero of the classic film trilogy, John Rambo, gets a tribute in this event, which introduces five characters from the franchise and offers the Rambo tank as a reward.
You can recruit John Rambo using the Base rewards track. The base track can also net you the enforcer, Sheriff Will Teasle, for your efforts. The improved track gets you the strategist, Marshall Murdock as well. Wargaming has some extra bundles if you want to go the extra mile and complete the Rambo collection, adding Co Bao and Colonel Trautman to your roster.
If you want to get all of the characters in one bundle, you can do that and you'll also get 2D styles for every Rambo film. Each of the characters features their own voiceover. You can hear each of the characters voiceovers on the announcement page for the special battle pass season.
The Base rewards track not only gets you the two characters, rewards also include decals of Rambo movie posters, and inscription, Buffs and bonuses, bonds, credits, and even a 2d style for the map. On the Improved track, you can get the third movie poster, even more credits, xp, and additional map customization and inscriptions.
The Tier IX Rambo Tank is the jewel of the event, a heavy machine inspired by the legendary hero. You can see elements inspired by the movies on the tank itself, including Rambo's knife on the model, etched inscriptions inspired by when Rambo uses that knife. Hank also comes equipped with an M60 machine gun on top, smoke mortars on the side, ammunition crates, an PPG-7 Soviet grenade launcher, and even Rambo's assault rifle with an under Barrel grenade launcher in the back.
Liberation also includes special music tracks, and more as you play through and rank up on your passes and hopefully, on your way to earning that Rambo tank.
