A player by the name of Rextroy has achieved the world’s first solo of Hivemind in World of Warcraft’s Ny’alotha. Here are the details.

The feat was accomplished on Normal difficulty and in fact, Rextroy is not a stranger to solo feats. Rextroy actually soloed Il’gynoth recently, according to Wowhead. It looks like his strategy going in was to pull trash mobs as much as he could during the actual boss encounter. This in turn would have the effect of maximizing his parry haste uptime which in turn had the knock on effect of increasing the amount of damage he would deal.

You can view the fight below if interested. He also provided the following words as the video description which recalls the encounter,

“I managed to get the bosses down to 20%. My solution for pushing the last DPS was to keep a lot of the trash alive. The boss encounter itself will only get dangerous (damage taken wise) towards the end. With the Swarmkeeper add up they would constantly grant the smaller adds a 50% attack speed increase. This lead to me being hit A LOT.”

He also goes into detail on what specifically he did, along with trinkets equipped, to help him accomplish this feat. Take a look at the video below:
