World Character Transfers Available in LOTRO

World character transfers appear to return to The Lord of the Rings Online.

Here’s how it works. Transfers will be available in the following ways:

• U.S. game worlds to U.S. game worlds
• European game worlds to European game worlds
• The Legendary Worlds of Anor to Ithil, and from Ithil to Anor

However, there are limitations. Transfers will not be available from an older and closed game world to what the team calls an active game world. This isn’t possible now, but may be in the future as the team aims to include this as future functionality.

Here’s how the cost of transfers breaks down:

• Character Transfer: 2495 LOTRO Points
• Shared Items Transfer: 495 LOTRO Points (free with a character transfer, only at the time of the character transfer)
• Character and Shared Items Transfer from Ithil to Anor: Free

It’s worth reiterating that you cannot transfer from a US server to a European server, and vice versa. You also cannot transfer from a Legendary World to a non-legendary world. If you want to complete a transfer, the blog outlines exactly how you can do so:

1. Log into the game launcher using your user name and password. Select the Transfer button on the launcher.
2. Select the server to transfer your character or Shared Items from.
3. Select which characters to transfer and whether to transfer Shared Items.
4. Select which world you would like to transfer to.
5. Confirm your transfer.
6. Confirm again.

• Account Shared Currency (Mithril Coins and Skirmish Marks)
• Shared Storage
• Housing Storage
• Wardrobe
• Destiny
