DC Universe Online has a new update today that adds Wonder Woman as the newest Ally, and the debut of enhanced daily and weekly missions.
This update marks the beginning of some changes as laid out in the producer's letter about the future of DCUO. The Dimensional Ink devs aim to refresh daily and weekly missions and make them more rewarding and more fun to do. Starting today, when you visit the mission kiosks, you'll get started with “A Daily Dose of Heroism” or “A Daily Dose of Villainy” and their weekly versions each week.
When you complete the , you'll get cash, Source Marks, and some Diluted Fire Pit Energy. The latter will get you 200 XP for Omnipotence gear from the Harley Quinn vs. ApokolipsHarley Quinn versus Apocalypse Episode.
When you're done with the missions, you'll be able to reset them, to allow more opportunities for progression when you’ve got the time for heroism or villainy. Along those lines, you'll be able to do these missions even when events are running (like Season's Greedings now) or when seasonal encounters have taken over. No interruptions.
Wonder Woman arrives as an Ally for 500 Source Marks, or from the marketplace. There are some bonuses to make acquiring her a little easier. The Allies Marketplace tab has a 20% off discount and, from now through December 16th, there's a double Ally Favor drop bonus.
If you add Wonder Woman to your collection, prepare to take advantage of moves like Lasso Spin, where she spins the Lasso of Truth around her, damaging enemies, lowering their defenses, and stunning non-bosses. Amazonian Bracelets gives her more defense when blocking. Blocking also absorbs energy when you’re hit, and you can release it to damage nearby enemies. Fury of the Gods adds something extra to critical weapon and ability attacks, with a 10 second bonus to Might and Precision.
The new update is live now in DC Universe Online. Expect a lot more refreshes when Story Arcs begin in the new year.
