Wizard101 is celebrating their 16th anniversary, and with it comes a host of cool things to do including a brand new collab with popular co-op RPG Dungeon Defenders 2. There’s plenty for players to get excited for both in and out of the game starting today.

KingsIsle Entertainment has a lot to celebrate with their 16 year anniversary, and this year, in game wizard Headmaster Ambrose is holding a birthday celebration contest where players will be able to submit artwork, videos stories, and a host of other game related creations revolving around the popular character to commemorate this momentous occasion. Winners will be selected September 26th via livestream and Wizard101’s various social media channels.

However, KingsIsle’s latest three month long collaboration with Chromatic Games popular free-to-play tower defense RPG Dungeon Defenders 2 is certainly another enticing reason to get back into both games and pick up some quirky pets. In Dungeon Defenders 2 players will be able to get a Piggle, a Baby Piggle, and a Ravenwood Piggle, each with their own ability elements, in the in-game shop. During the collab players will also notice Mystic Dragon Fruit in pet food boxes.

In Wizard101 players will be able to pick up a grumpy looking Propeller Cat pet from the online shop. While the cat’s helicopter backpack may not truly be magical, it’s hard to resist a flying cat. The crossover items will be available from September 24th until January 5th, 2025, so you have some time before this is gone for good. All this is hot on the heels of the recent Wallaru update going global, with new zones, quests, and plenty of content for players to come back and enjoy. In addition, the team is branching out on multiple platforms, and with a new title on the way, so keep your eyes peeled for more information!
