Diablo 3's archangel, Imperius, is the next hero coming to the Heroes of the Storm Nexus. Imperius will be available on the public test realm on January 2nd. The announcement isn't unexpected since the community was told in a recent producer's letter that the next hero would be coming along right after the start of the new year. What is surprising is that the announcement came without an accompanying video or explanation of Imperius's abilities.
"Imperius, the archangel of Valor, is the greatest warrior in all of creation. He revels in war and combat and has led the hosts of Heaven to innumerable victories. With Malthael's absence, it is Imperius who now rules over the Angiris Council, seeking always to defend the High Heavens from any foe."
You may remember that the HotS development team was gutted recently, with many devs being moved off to "other unannounced projects". As a result, development of the game, its "cadence", will slow.
